The choir&#8217;s repertoire includes both spiritual, and mundane music varied from Renaissance till nowadays as well as Latvian and foreign music. The choir concert life is active in Latvia and abroad.\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Tonika&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0regularly participates in concerts, festivals and competitions in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, France and Italy. Activities and the most recent awards won by the choir are following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the 2nd and the 3rd place at the 19th and 20th International Choir Competition in Tolos (Spain) in 1991<\/li>\n<li>the 3rd place at the 22nd International Choir Competition in Tolos (Spain) in 1994<\/li>\n<li>the 1st place and Grand Prix at the International Choir Competition Voci dal Garda in Salo (Italy) in 1998<\/li>\n<li>the 2nd grade diploma and conductor prize at 4th International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf (Germany) in 1999<\/li>\n<li>participant of International Girls&#8217; choir festival &#8220;Girls&#8217; voices 2000 , 2003, 2005&#8221; in Riga<\/li>\n<li>concert tours in Germany (2003)<\/li>\n<li>participant of VIII International Choir Competition &#8220;Tallinn 2003&#8221; (Estonia)<\/li>\n<li>participant of XXIII Latvian Song and dance festival<\/li>\n<li>participant of VII International Choir Competition &#8220;Maribor 2004&#8221; (Slovenia)<\/li>\n<li>participant of XIV International Festival of Advent and Christmas music with P.Eben prize in Prague 2004(Czech Republic) (Gold diploma)<\/li>\n<li>participant of 9th Latvian School Youth<\/li>\n<li>Song and Dance Celebration in Riga 2005, (Gold diploma)<\/li>\n<li>concert tours in Germany , Switzerland (2005)<\/li>\n<li>participant of 54th \u201cGuido d&#8217;Arezzo\u201d International Polyphonic Competition<\/li>\n<li>participant of The XII International Choir Festival en Provence (France)<\/li>\n<li>concert tours in Germany , Switzerland (2007)<\/li>\n<li>participant of The XIII International Choir Festival en Provence (France) 2008<\/li>\n<li>participant of the choir competition &#8220;Warsovia Cantat&#8221; (Poland, 2011)<\/li>\n<li>participant, Gold medalist, Grand Prix participant in choir competition &#8220;Venezia in Musica&#8221; (Italy, 2013)<\/li>\n<li>participant, Gold medalist, 6th place in female chamber choir category in world. 8th World choir games (Latvia, 2014)<\/li>\n<li>participant, Gold medalist of the international youth choir festival and competition in Bratislava (Slovakia, 2015)<\/li>\n<li>participant of the choir festival in Aveyron, France (2016)<\/li>\n<li>participant, Gold Diploma in the international choir competition &#8220;Silver bells 2017&#8221; (Daugavpils, Latvia, 2017)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Tonika&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0has three different age groups:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Studio (6 &#8211; 12 year olds)<\/li>\n<li>Girls Choir (12-16 year olds)<\/li>\n<li>Chamber Choir (16 &#8211; 25 year olds)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Attractive concerts and musical performances are regularly staged apart from academic music concerts.
